I hear and see many stories of immigrants who come to Canada, some have amazing experiences and others not so much. It all depends on each person’s particular story, experience, situation and willingness to get ahead.
I have seen immigrants who come to Canada, work hard and become extremely successful, I have also seen others who come and work their whole lives as janitors. At the end of the day, it does not matter the place where you live, it matters your determination to succeed.
I do find it is easier to succeed in a country where the rules of the game are clear, where there is little or no corruption, where there is economic and political stability and where you can walk in the street without fear.
As many immigrants, I missed Mexico when I moved here and I ended up moving back to mexico 10 years later, only to realize all the amazing things, benefits, experiences Canada has to offer.
Needles to say, I decided to go back to Canda, for our future and the future of my kids. Sometimes the Canadian dream might not be fully experienced by first generation immigrants, but their children will always benefit all the benefits Canada has to offer.
Yes, the Canadian Dream is very real, and its amazing and like everything in life you have to work hard to get it.
