Visit Canada

Home Visit Canada
Image

Canada is ranked amongst the top #3 Countries in the world. You need to visit this amazing country to understand why.  Every year Canada receives more than 22 million visitors who come to enjoy our National Parks, beaches, mountains, and beautiful and safe cities, from Old Quebec to Cosmopolitan Vancouver. Canada can be enjoyed during winter, spring, summer or autumn and there are activities for each season.

When visiting Canada you may need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or a Visitor Visa, depending on your individual situation.

Visitor Visa

A visitor visa is often referred to as a Canadian tourist visa. There are many factors that play a part in obtaining a Visitor Visa such as your current employment, financial means and ties to your country.

Starting in 2018, Canada started requiring biometrics for those applying for temporary visas with some exceptions, depending on your country of origin.

Visitors must generally meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a valid passport
  • Be in good health and pass a medical exam
  • Have proof funds for your stay in Canada
  • Have ties to your country and intention to return
  • Prove the purpose of your visit

Super Visa

A super visa lets you visit your children or grandchildren in Canada for up to 2 years at a time. It’s a multi-entry visa that provides parents and grandparents, multiple entries for a period of up to 10 years.

If you want to stay for 6 months or less, you should apply for a visitor visa.

To be eligible you must:

  • Be the parent/grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a PR of Canada
  • Have a signed invitation letter from your child or grandchild
  • Have medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company, valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry with at least $100,000 coverage and proof that insurance was paid
  • Apply for a super visa from outside Canada
  • Be admissible to Canada
  • Take an immigration medical exam
  • meet certain other conditions

Business Visitors

Business visitors and business people are not the same. Business people come to do work in Canada under a free trade agreement.
A business visitor is someone who comes to Canada for international business activities but does not enter the Canadian labour market. Some activities of a business visitor in Canada can be to meet people from companies doing business with their country, for site visits, or when a Canadian company invites them for specific training. In this case, they don’t need a work permit to come to Canada.

Business visitors must prove that their main source of income and main place of business is outside Canada.

But you are not considered a business visitor if you’re doing work for a Canadian company, you may need to get a work permit.

eTA

When travelling to Canada by air, you might need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) if you are a visa-exempt foreign national.

It only costs $7 CAD and is should be a simple application unless you have a specific situation such as inadmissibility, deportation, or denials in Canada or other countries.

Do not use unauthorized third-party companies that offer you this service. If you are getting a tourist package with a Travel Agency, we still recommend you to file your own application, so that you have complete control of your application.

If you need or require assistance in this matter, we are happy to help you.
